Not much. As I think about both administrations, I ask myself if our expectations were too high for the man from Hope and the man who offered us change we could believe in.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is exactly the point. Rather than face down and fundamentally change our racist institutions, it seems to me that America clings to the hope that change will emerge from its political leadership--trickle-down race relations that will somehow wend through the White House into supposed post-racial neighborhoods.
